Well, rumor has it that once that belly button heals it's time for a "real" bath. We were pretty sure that he wasn't going to like it since he puts up a pretty big stink even when we change his diaper. He doesn't like to be naked. But, even the cutest baby in the world eventually NEEDS to be bathed...
Be sure to see todays photo album for pictures of David's first bath.
Um, he didn't like it too much.Comments:Add a comment:

Today was Davy's first doctor's appointment. Not only has he almost fully regained his birth weight (8 lbs, 13 oz) but the doctor said he is the picture of health. Like we all didn't already know that!!

Well, today is our first day home from the hospital. These are the things that I have learned so far:
1. Davy does NOT like the vibrate feature that cost an additional fifty bucks on his bassinet...
2. NEVER hold a baby up over your head directly after feeding them... unless you like milk vomit in your nose.
3. As cliche as it sounds, you really DON'T know what love is until you hold your baby for the first time.
More pictures coming. Seems that hundreds a day just aren't enough...Comments:Add a comment:

Today, David John Mauerman was born via C-section in perfect health at 9 pounds and 21 inches long!! He is absolutely perfect.
His apgars were 9 and 9... (David says he was really 10 and 10 but they just don't want to admit he was perfect!!)Comments:Add a comment:
